Tsinghua-INSEAD Executive MBA

In order for you to get into Tsinghua's INSEAD EMBA (TiEMBA) program, you have to take the TiEMBA Assessment Test. The test assesses the candidate's readiness to engage in a world leading graduate executive MBA program.

TiEMBA Assessment Test

The purpose of the assessment is to indicate to the admissions team the readiness of the candidate. The candidate does not receive a score report as the test is one part of a holistic review of the candidate’s profile, and does not determine admission on its own.

The test consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) that assess a set of logical, verbal, quantitative and analytical skills which candidates must master in order to perform well in the EMBA program.

The test time is 2 hours 30 minutes, and the test consists of two modules: Academic Aptitude and Leadership Evaluation.

Academic Aptitude

Purpose: Assess the candidate’s problem solving, data management, and logical thinking skills, in order to to determine the candidate’s readiness for a rigorous business academic curriculum.

Duration: 2 hours.
4 sections, 60 questions in total.

Leadership Evaluation

Purpose: Assess the candidate’s business acumen and maturity through a realistic business scenario, crafted to determine whether the candidate has had exposure to several business cycles and to general management decision-making.

Duration: 30 minutes.
1 sections, 3 questions in total.

Test Preparation

Step 1. Register

To prepare for the test, you can register for free practice tests and get access to revision materials on BTMethods, the website of the Test creator, Business Test Methods. If you wish you may also purchase a comprehensive official guide, and even book flexible online classes with qualified trainers to assist your preparation.

  2. Accept the terms & conditions
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Click on the link that is sent to you at the email address you specified above
  5. Complete your profile information, password, name and (optional) profile photo
  6. Your username is simply your email address

Now you can practice tests, and download practice materials

Step 2. Download Practice Guides

As soon as your account is created, you will gain access to two full length practice tests and practice materials. Before taking the practice tests, you should download the free Academic Supplement under Practice Materials, it is a complementary guide to preparing for the test.

Step 3. Do Online Practice Tests

You may practice two full length tests, and repeat them to improve your score.
